Text and mental health

Image
Since my project is based on the struggles of mental health, it is important that every element is used to communicate the exact emotions and the changes through out the day. Since my project is silhouette based, I have decided to add other elements to convey the feelings and emotions that would assist the voices in the piece. That being said, I did research on how typography and text can be used to communicate the exact emotions while not being overly explicit. Art is meant to make the audience wonder but also inform.  The weight, texture and shape of the font also helps in drawing emphasis on the emotions as they gradually get intense. The softness of Poppins and circular help convey a calm and happy energy.

Method of Creating the Promo Video:   (for future videos as well)    1.       Find an interviewee. Ask them questions relating to their line of work and their relationship with creative response.  2.       While shooting follow the rule of thirds and make sure the interviewee is visible and audible while recording.  3.       For editing. Keep two variations of the video. One shorter one for social media and one longer one for youtube. Keep the overall aesthetic of the video the same so that viewers are not confused.  4.       Method. Bring clips of the interview on the timeline as the foundation or base of the video. To avoid jump cuts or to add more information to the video, add some images of creative response, some work or any stock images that relate to the conversation. Add music at a lower decibel so that it creates a nice ambiance without interfering with the interviewees voice.

CR R&D for promotional video

To make the promotional video a success it is important to do the following: We should aim to think of it like a teaser and not go into full detail of the organisation. It helps spark the curiosity in the audience.  Make multiple versions for social media and a slightly longer one for the website.  Things to tackle in the interview video: When was the charity established? why? what makes it different? testimonials from the artists and those in charge artwork testimonials from the participants (maybe) Inspirations:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSPAsZ92N8k  (Dar Ul Sukoon, Karachi)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH9vq4l5kiw  (Oakleaf, Guildford)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7BuVZwI7Ls  (Hunar Foundation, Karachi)
