Great to see this short previs to bring your visual ideas partially into being. I am sure your backgrounds will be much more visually evolved, layered and complex as these are quite basic atm. Beware that the words are a bit literal and didactic. Is there more you could do to allude to ideas in a more subtle way that lets the viewer use their imagination and engage with the work on a more imaginative level.
Method of Creating the Promo Video: (for future videos as well) 1. Find an interviewee. Ask them questions relating to their line of work and their relationship with creative response. 2. While shooting follow the rule of thirds and make sure the interviewee is visible and audible while recording. 3. For editing. Keep two variations of the video. One shorter one for social media and one longer one for youtube. Keep the overall aesthetic of the video the same so that viewers are not confused. 4. Method. Bring clips of the interview on the timeline as the foundation or base of the video. To avoid jump cuts or to add more information to the video, add some images of creative response, some work or any stock images that relate to the conversation. Since my project is based on the struggles of mental health, it is important that every element is used to communicate the exact emotions and the changes through out the day. Since my project is silhouette based, I have decided to add other elements to convey the feelings and emotions that would assist the voices in the piece. That being said, I did research on how typography and text can be used to communicate the exact emotions while not being overly explicit. Art is meant to make the audience wonder but also inform. The weight, texture and shape of the font also helps in drawing emphasis on the emotions as they gradually get intense. The softness of Poppins and circular help convey a calm and happy energy.
